Visual Welding Inspector

The 6-day Visual Welding Inspector Level 2 training course provides insight into all facets of visually assessing weld imperfections in steel and stainless steel in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 5817 and in aluminum following EN-ISO 10042.

Objective of the course

Participants in the course will expand their knowledge of visual inspection of welded parts through both theoretical and practical information. After completing the course, they will be able to independently identify and measure defects in welded parts.

Extensive selection of samples of every weld imperfection

In our daily work in the field, where we help countless organizations solve a wide variety of welding-related issues, we have amassed a collection of all conceivable weld imperfections. These are discussed in detail in the classroom during the Visual Welding Inspector Level 2 (VTw2) course.

Unmatched pass rate thanks to unique cast workpiece method

At the Welding Institute, we use a selection of cast workpieces in our inspection training courses. This allows us to address welding imperfections in a classroom setting, with identical workpieces on every table!

In-house teaching materials for even better results

To prepare our candidates optimally the exam, the Welding Institute has developed its own teaching method for the VTw2 training. With a pass rate of over 95%, we can conclude that this method works!
